Yuval Peleg, known on the street as WhyP, is a self-taught, multidisciplinary artist who moves between street art and traditional craft. Years of painting in public space and working in the studio have shaped a visual language of his own: figurative, geometric forms in a rich, many-colored palette.
His work comes from a constant urge to explore: combining materials, developing his own techniques and following ideas wherever they lead. He looks at social polarity and questions it through unexpected pairings: the traditional and the modern, the sacred and the street, pop art and fine art.
The dissonance and tension between these worlds is the common thread in his work, which asks how different forces, stories and people can exist side by side and work in harmony.
